A close encounter I least expected in the African Bush

Welcome and thank you for visiting my Blog.  As an Artist I specialize in Wildlife & Tribal Portrait Art and spend as much time as possible traveling to remote areas to experience and discover the wonders of the world first hand.  I’ve had adventures on 6 continents in over 40 countries.  These explorations provide a wealth of knowledge and inspiration not only for my Art but provide a means of capturing photos and stunning film footage to share with groups and organizations who are interested in travel, nature, and conservation programs.

I have been surrounded by Penguins in  Antarctica  and sat near endangered Mountain Gorillas in the Virunga Mountains in Rwanda. I have a deep regard and love for the earth, wildlife, and the indigenous cultures struggling to survive.

This inspires my Art, Conservation efforts, and the programs I present. It was also the catalyst for the documentary “As Close As You Dare – Africa” which was broadcast on PBS television all across the US.  I hope you’ll join me on my journey and share yours with me.
